ANTI-ALLERGIC:

The phytoconstituents are known to inhibit the histamine release and non- specific & specific mast cell- dependent allergic reactions. Haridra suppresses IgE & IgG antibody response & reduces inflammatory cytokines and ameliorates gastric injury.

Curcumin & volatile oil of Haridra inhibits phospholipase, lipoxygenase, COX-2, prostaglandins, NO, tumour necrosis factor and interleukin- 12, which are involved in inflammation. Haridra decreases the incidence, delay the onset, and reduce the extent of the inflammation of joints.

Haridra has skin tonic, anti- inflammatory, anti-infective and anti-microbial properties. It protects skin and improves complexion. It inhibits nonspecific and specific mast cell-dependent allergic reactions & useful in sepsis due to suppression of pro- inflammatory cytokine.
