Shallaki interferes with glucocorticoid receptors, suspending release of pro- inflammatory cytokines & inhibits leukotriene synthesis. It changes electrophoretic pattern of synovial fluid protein & reduces the number of leucocytes. It inhibits microsomal prostaglandin biosynthesis.
